Compassion Christian Church
When we launched Compassion Christian Church in January 2013, the people of Statesboro sat back to watch. They had seen plenty of church plants open and quickly close in rapid succession.
They had never seen Compassion in action, though. A committed core group of members prayed earnestly for God’s direction and favor. They invited friends to church and special events. They welcomed people who visited. They gave back to their community, serving those in need.
Today the church is meeting in a temporary facility. In a city with a “church death culture,” a permanent home signals we are here to stay. We have purchased property – 27 acres with a beautiful lake on one of the busiest roadways in Statesboro. New neighborhoods and a new school are drawing families to the area. We will build on that property, showing this city that we are here for good and to do good.
